Interior Design

Curved Apartment is a private residential interior designed within a contemporary apartment building defined by a curved, cornerless geometry. The absence of orthogonal walls became the main design driver, shaping both spatial organization and the formal language of the interior.

The client sought a calm and comfortable weekend apartment, offering openness, functional clarity, and a warm atmosphere within a compact residential layout.

THE IDEA
THE IDEA

The concept is based on embracing the building’s curved geometry and translating it into a fluid, continuous interior. Architecture, furniture, and technical solutions merge into a single, coherent spatial composition.

The concept is based on embracing the building’s curved geometry and translating it into a fluid, continuous interior. Architecture, furniture, and technical solutions merge into a single, coherent spatial composition.

The apartment is organized into two main zones: an open living area with kitchen and dining functions, and a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

Design Principles

Spatial transitions are defined through sequencing, built-in furniture, and soft partitions rather than rigid walls.

Interior +
Atmosphere

The atmosphere is shaped by fluid geometry, custom curved MDF furniture, and a restrained palette of stone, fabrics, and furniture panels.

The interior feels soft, tactile, and visually continuous.

The project was comprehensively designed and executed by Eklekt Atelier, who were responsible for the entire realization process — from the initial concept and spatial reconfiguration to detailed design, material selection, custom furniture, and final supervision on site.

M36 curved apartment eklekt atelierConceived as a response to the building’s elliptical geometry, the 66 m² interior was fully restructured to achieve a seamless flow between zones, emphasizing soft lines, concealed systems, and refined lighting design. Every element was carefully curated to ensure aesthetic coherence and long-term quality.

The result is a timeless yet contemporary living space, where bold architectural character is balanced by warmth, subtlety, and a calm, harmonious atmosphere.

Final Effect

Curved Apartment is a calm and balanced interior where geometry, material, and light work together to create continuity and comfort.

The project demonstrates how non-orthogonal space can support everyday living with clarity and warmth.
