Architecture, Interior Design

Witowy Raj is a comprehensive architectural, interior, and landscape project for a private residence set within a mountainous context. The design process began with a radical transformation of the site’s topography, which became the foundation for the spatial concept of both the exterior and the interior.
The project is conceived as a continuous spatial narrative, where architecture, terrain, and interior merge into a unified system.
The landscape plays a decisive role in shaping the identity of the house. The transformation of the steep slope into a structured, inhabitable terrain allowed the creation of new functional layers, viewpoints, and outdoor living zones, making the landscape an active architectural element rather than a backdrop.

The client sought a residence that would combine architectural clarity with intimacy, and landscape openness with a sense of privacy. The key expectation was to transform the difficult terrain into a functional and representative living environment, integrating architecture, interior, and garden into one coherent spatial experience while emphasizing views and connection with the surrounding landscape.

THE IDEA
THE IDEA

The idea of Witowy Raj is rooted in the transformation of landscape into architecture and architecture into experience. The project explores the balance between nature and intervention, between raw terrain and designed structure.

Rather than dominating the landscape, the architecture emerges from it, using topography as a compositional tool. The interior continues this logic, translating the language of terrain, rhythm, and material into spatial sequences of everyday life.

Rather than dominating the landscape, the architecture emerges from it, using topography as a compositional tool. The interior continues this logic, translating the language of terrain, rhythm, and material into spatial sequences of everyday life.

The design is based on the principle of layered spatial composition. Retaining walls, terraces, and platforms structure the terrain, while large openings and continuous materiality connect exterior and interior.

Design Principles

Modern villa with illuminated landscape design, curved concrete wall and mountain surroundings at dusk

Modern outdoor pool with waterfall edge, illuminated pavilion and mountain landscape at dusk

The project implementation focuses on precise coordination of all trades, meticulous material selection, and careful execution of interior and landscape elements. Every intervention is monitored to ensure the continuity of spatial logic and the seamless integration of architecture, interior, and terrain.

Interior +
Atmosphere

The interior is designed as a natural continuation of the landscape. Fluidly interconnected functional zones are unified by a coherent material language and consistent geometry.

Modern living room with integrated TV wall, wooden cabinetry, and vertical slatted detail

Modern kitchen with dark cabinetry, stone island, and illuminated wine display

Natural wood, stone, and a restrained color palette create an atmosphere of calm and timeless elegance, while light — both natural and artificial — becomes a key tool in shaping space.

Modern bathroom with freestanding bathtub, green textured wall, illuminated mirror and walk-in shower

Modern bathroom vanity with green textured wall, floating cabinet and illuminated mirror

Modern bathroom with freestanding bathtub, green textured wall and minimalist black vanity

The project was developed through a process of continuous dialogue between architecture, landscape, and interior. The transformation of terrain and the refinement of interior details evolved in parallel, allowing the project to mature as a coherent spatial system.

Realization +
Final Effect

The Project becomes a residence where architecture, landscape, and interior form a single spatial organism. The transformation of terrain, the articulation of outdoor spaces, and the continuity of interior design create an environment that offers both openness and privacy, monumentality and intimacy, nature and architecture.
