Gardens, Interior Design

Olympic House is a comprehensive interior and garden project for a private residence. The house already existed at the time the design process began, and the interior concept was carefully developed in direct response to the building’s geometry and architectural language. The garden, hidden within the dense urban fabric, plays an equally important role.

The client sought a calm and representative living environment that combines spatial generosity with intimacy, integrates interior and garden into one coherent experience, and creates a sense of retreat from the surrounding, busy urban context.

THE IDEA
THE IDEA

The project is conceived as a continuous spatial narrative that blurs the boundaries between architecture, interior, and landscape.

The project is conceived as a continuous spatial narrative that blurs the boundaries between architecture, interior, and landscape.

The concept is rooted in harmony, timelessness, and balance between nature and use. The client’s decision to purchase the property was strongly influenced by the presence of a very old and mature tree stand, which became the foundation of the entire landscape concept.

Concept +
Design Principles

Rather than competing with nature, the project uses it as a protective frame, creating a hidden garden — a calm enclave separated from the nearby, busy city.

Interior +
Atmosphere

It is organized as an open sequence of spaces shaped by rounded columns, soft divisions, and custom-designed elements that follow the logic of the existing building.

The interior responds to the existing architectural form of the house.

The garden concept focuses on preserving and surrounding the design with the existing mature tree stand. It  is structured as a secluded landscape composition, where water, stone paths, and subtle metal elements are embedded within the surrounding tree canopy.

Garden +
Landscape

The garden is conceived as a hidden retreat — enclosed by mature trees, shielding the space from the surrounding urban noise and creating a calm, introspective atmosphere focused on nature and light.

The project is developed in phases, allowing both the house and the garden to mature over time, with nature playing an active role in shaping the final experience.

Realization +
Final Effect

Olympic House becomes a calm, secluded living environment where architecture, interior, and landscape form a unified system, offering privacy and balance within the heart of the city.
